Whether you're taking a stroll on Casey Key or catching rays on Longboat, you might have noticed a few more turtle nests.
Julie Loos has been visiting the Suncoast for 20 years, and said she noticed the amount of this year compared to others was up. "Part of the fun of coming here is going out for walks and seeing the sea turtle nests the next morning where they marked them," Loos said. "There are many more on this stretch of the beach where the condo is versus more of the remote parts of the beach."
